Located on the banks of the North Fork of Chalk Creek in Chalk Creek Canyon the cabin is an amazing mountain home located on acreage near the national forest and across from the wildlife viewing meadow.
Situated in the Heart of the Colorado Rockies between the 14ers Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero.

Relax in chairs at the outside fireplace overlooking the creek, take in some cool Colorado mountain air on the back deck, enjoy a special dinner or snacks overlooking meadows of aspen and pine. Read a good book on one of the 2 wooden decks, chill out watching TV or playing games with friends and family. Soak in your private hot tub or one of the nearby hot springs, fish at Chalk or Wrights Lakes both within minutes of the property, hike the nearby Colorado Trail, Agnes Vaile, a waterfall trail, or the historic railway grade. Jeep or ATV one of the many trails including Hancock, Antero, Princeton and Tincup to experience the incredible drive up to the top of the Continental Divide at 12,126 feet in elevation. Visit the historic mining ghost town of St. Elmo (feed the chipmunk’s), hunt for gems, there were several mines in the day! White water raft down the Arkansas River minutes away, horseback rides are a few miles down the road. Of course, every season has outdoor activities: in the winter try snowshoeing, skiing – Monarch Ski is about 40 minutes away! The towns of Salida and Buena Vista are short miles away and have unique food and shopping with a lot of live music and events!
YOUR CABIN CONTAINS:
~Master Bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a king bed; views of Mt. Antero and Chalk Creek; en suite bathroom with a private deck entrance and seating overlooking the creek. The creek will provide your lullaby!
~Another Master Bedroom, with Queen bed, a twin trundle bed, and full bath connecting with a private deck entrance and seating overlooking creek.
-A third bedroom with a queen bed is located downstairs along with a full bathroom. The downstairs can be accessed from the stairway in the house or has its own entrance to the outside.
-The downstairs also has a TV room with couch and second refrigerator for guest staying downstairs. The downstairs game room has a Foosball table and a card table with chairs.
~Kitchen stocked with pantry items, spices, and a full range of kitchenware.
~Electric stove/oven.
~Laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer, plus a folding counter.
~Gathering/Living Room and private deck spanning the entire length of the backside of the cabin.
~Wood fireplace/stove and propane heat in living area; the master suite has electric heating in bedroom and bathroom.

You’ll feel like you are in the Colorado wilderness with old growth trees surrounding the cabin, wildlife visiting the area, the creek, mountain views, starry night skies, and calm.
This mountain retreat is licensed to sleep 6. The base price for the cabin is for 2 guests, extra guests are $25 each per night. Make sure you verify all guests before your arrival.
The cabin is pet friendly; all pets need to be approved by email in the reservation before the reservation is accepted. Pets are welcome if declared and never left alone in the rental (uncrated) or allowed on furniture, please see rates for the pet fee. We do ask that pets not be allowed on carpet in the master bedroom (the only room with carpet).
**Host reserves the right to have guests leave the premises if more guests are found on property than stated on reservation, and all monies paid will be forfeited.**
